Elizabeth Perelstein, Chair and Founder of School Search Solutions and School Choice International, is a seasoned educator who founded the education consulting firm as an expatriate in London 17 years ago.


In 2006, Liz co-founded the British International School of New York, the first British curriculum school in the New York metropolitan area.  Previously, Liz was a teacher, an education administrator, elected for two terms on a public board of education, and worked at all levels of education, from nursery school through university.  Liz holds two Master’s Degrees in Education Administration and Public Policy from the University of Chicago.


Liz frequently writes and speaks on topics related to education, relocation, and women owned businesses. In 2010 Liz was chosen by Fortune Magazine as one of Ten Most Powerful Female Entrepreneurs to join its annual Most Powerful Women Summit held in Washington, D.C. In 2012, Liz won The Enterprising Women Awards.  School Choice International/School Search Solutions has been named to INC’s 500/5000 list of fastest growing companies from 2011 – 2013.
